the seventh CD release from monochrome motif records is a collection made up of four pieces, each of which are either based upon or involve the use of a 12-tone row.

the major work of the project is the title track matrices, which is built
upon a “word-score”, whereby there were some basic instructions (or loose directions) written out in such a fashion as to leave room for free and unique interpretation(s) by each of the participants (or joint-composers, of which there are thirteen) of the piece.

three other pieces, spiral(s), ama, what key’s this in? make up the album as a whole. it should be said that no piece is of any more importance to the album than any other.

the release also includes a pdf essay detailing the compositional process, a pdf of work in progress photos and three earlier sketches as bonus tracks (digital only)

One of my favourite things about Bandcamp is just suddenly finding music that's off the beaten track of recommendations or whatever is fashionable at the moment.
